Lord of the | Rings

Fly into some of the Lord of the Rings' secret locations. Explore the mystical environment and venture into the unknown. You have the option of either a two or three site experience.


Three site experience: Mt Owen to Mt Olympus returning Via Boulder Lake Canaan Down and Harwoods Hole or two site experience: Mt Olympus returning Via Boulder Lake Canaan Down and Harwoods Hole.


Trout | Fishing

Take off for an adventurous trip trout fishing for the keen trout angler who wants to take on New Zealand's famous large brown trout. Set in the crystal clear mountain streams of the Kahurangi National Park.


Guided trout fishing can be catered to suit any experience level from beginner to the serious angler. Guided trips will include drop-off in the morning and pick-up by helicopter late in the day as required.

Wine | Tours

Marlborough has a reputation for producing some of the worlds finest wines, including Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot noir, Pinot gris and the Methode traditionnelle varieties.


You will fly to Marlborough landing at the Montana Brancott Winery where you can enjoy Marlborough's famous wines in an atmosphere of authentic elegance. A 200 seat restaurant with huge riverstone fireplace serves dishes with distinct local flavour complimented by fine local wine. The restaurant and cellar door are open 7 days a week and there are wine tours every 30 minutes during week days.


Depending on your requirements there are a number of other fine winery's to visit in the area, personalised tours can be put together to suit your requirements.


D'Urville | Island

D'Urville Island Wilderness Resort: Set in the wild splendor of the South Island's Marlborough Sounds, a place to relax and unwind and the gateway for action and adventure.


Enjoy the ambience of quiet sophistication as you sit back and take off in the comfort and safety of the EC130 B4 helicopter up the coastline to D'Urville Island and land at D'Urville Island Wilderness Resort, Cafe and Bar. Enjoy the magnificent views of Cathrine Cove and surrounding native bush, dine inside or outside on the deck.


Fishing and diving trips can be organized for the day, to experience the very productive fishing grounds of Stephens Passage and French Pass. This can be tailored to suit the casual angler or serious recreational fisherman.


On the social fishing trips, diving demonstrations can be arranged so you can sample some of New Zealand's most prized delicacies, such as Cray fish and scallops. A selection of world famous wines and beers are available to compliment your meal.


For those who wish to indulge in other experiences there are a number of other activities including, sea kayaking or a leisurely walk to nearby waterfalls or perhaps just relax at the cafe. Accommodation is also available. On completion of your outing you will board the helicopter and fly back down the coast to Nelson.


Top of the South | Tour

Escape for the whole day on an adventure you will never forget. This flight takes in the magnificent coastline of the Abel Tasman National Park, Tasman and Golden Bay, Takaka and Collingwood, Kahurangi National Park, Farewell Spit Nature Reserve, Westhaven Inlet and the Tonga Island Marine Reserve.


You also see the rugged and inaccessible West Coast, the Heaphy track at Karamea and the Mt Arthur region. Our first stop is Awaroa Lodge and cafe. Relax over a coffee or stroll along the beach, maybe try out a small guided sea Kayak trip. Once airborne the flight will continue along the Abel Tasman coast to Separation Point, Takaka and Collingwood, on to the base of the Farewell Spit Nature Reserve.


The West coast is the next destination viewing the incredible rock and land formations that can only be seen from the air before landing at the Westhaven Retreat for lunch. After lunch farm tours and bush walks are on the menu or just relax and enjoy the outstanding hospitality of the Stompe family. Returning via Harwoods Hole and Canaan Downs OR Mt Olympus (Lord of the Rings site), Boulder Lake, Harwoods Hole and Canaan Downs.
